Enclosed in this kit is a tube of camshaft and lifter lubricant that must be used during the installation of this distributor gear. Apply a
liberal amount of lubricant to the gear before installing the distributor in the engine.

Distributor gear material selection guide:

• Mechanical or hydraulic flat tappet:  Iron Or Composite
• Hardened steel hydraulic roller or solid roller: Hardened Steel, Composite, Or Melonized
• Billet steel hydraulic roller or solid roller:  Bronze, Composite, Or Melonized
